Working closely with the Regional Director, you'll play a central role in leading one of BBYO's fastest-growing regions while helping hundreds of Jewish teens discover leadership, friendship, and community.

BBYO Lake Ontario Region engages more than 1,000 Jewish teens each year through chapters, leadership programs, conventions, travel experiences, and community events across Toronto, Vaughan, Hamilton, and Ottawa. As Associate Regional Director, you'll help lead the growth and success of Lake Ontario Region while collaborating with colleagues throughout Eastern Canada and the international BBYO Movement.

Whether you're early in your career or looking to build upon your experience in youth engagement, education, camps, or the nonprofit sector, this is an opportunity to grow professionally while making a lasting impact on Jewish teens. The ideal candidate is energetic, relationship-driven, adaptable, and passionate about empowering young people to become confident leaders.

  • Represent BBYO professionally within the Jewish community and support local teen engagement initiatives while participating in regional, national, and international leadership opportunities as required.

Our team values initiative, creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Success in this role comes from building authentic relationships, empowering teen leaders, and creating experiences that inspire Jewish teens to grow as leaders and active members of their communities.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with youth, teens, camps, schools, student organizations, or nonprofit programs is preferred.
  • Experience planning events, managing projects, or coordinating programs.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A passion for Jewish community, youth leadership, and creating meaningful experiences for Jewish teens.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when working with teens, volunteers, and confidential organizational information.
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and organizational systems.
  • Ability to work in person in the Greater Toronto Area and travel regularly throughout Lake Ontario Region.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when teens are available, including conventions and major programs.
  • Ability to travel to organization-wide events such as International Convention, Staff Conference, and to staff a summer leadership program in the United States for approximately 2-3 weeks each summer.
