  • California Bureau of Security and Investigative Service (BSIS) Guard Card and Permit for Exposed Firearms
  • Possess and maintain proficiency with authorized firearms and equipment.
  • Be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.

  • The legal right to work in the United States

As part of the Regional Security Services team, the Armed Protection Officer (APO) is responsible for the physical and personal security for members, staff, and visitors within the health care client facilities. This includes responding to emergency situations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations related to personnel, visitors, and premises. Protects staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards and interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace.   • Make private person arrests when necessary and within policy
  • Respond into healthcare facility interior for Code Gray responses
  • Lead de-escalation efforts
  • Provide a professional security presence
  • Act as a safety ambassador for the facility
  • Provide campus safety recommendations
  • Liaison with administrative and clinical leadership
