Hours:                37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday / some evenings & weekends)

Term:                  ASAP to December 15, 2026 (With the possibility of extension)


This is a full-time, remote position based in British Columbia, Canada. The salary range is $50,000 - $57,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

As Partnership Coordinator, you are passionate about developing compelling messaging designed to support the partnership program. You work virtually with a dynamic team to facilitate collaboration among industry, government, Indigenous communities, local governments, and environmental organizations to advance invasive species prevention, management, and education initiatives.

The Invasive Species Council of BC works with people in BC and partners across the province to address invasive species issues and promote stewardship of our lands, waters and communities. Invasive species impact individuals, communities, and economic sectors like agriculture and forestry.

RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, funders, community organizations, Indigenous partners, government agencies, and other key stakeholders to support organizational goals and priorities.

  • Increase partner participation in project activities.

  • Support activities by researching potential partners, preparing partnerships submissions, gathering supporting materials, and contributing to reporting.

  • Coordinate partner and funder engagement activities, including meetings, presentations, events, recognition initiatives, and ongoing communications to strengthen relationships and demonstrate impact.

  • Track partnership, sponsorship, and funding activities, ensuring accurate records, timely communications, and reporting on outcomes and revenue targets.

  • Collaborate with program and communications staff to develop compelling case studies, impact stories, presentations, and marketing materials that support partnership development efforts.

  • Identify, cultivate, and steward partnership opportunities, including developing customized proposals, sponsorships packages, and partnership agreements.

  • Monitor trends, funding opportunities, and stakeholder priorities within the environmental, conservation, government, corporate, and philanthropic sectors to identify new opportunities for collaboration and growth.


What skills and strengths you will bring as Partnerships Coordinator:


  • 1-3 years of experience coordinating projects, events, campaigns, or initiatives involving multiple partners and deadlines.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling proposals, sponsorship materials, reports, and partner communications.

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with confidence representing the organization in meetings, events, and networking opportunities.

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities, reporting deadlines, and stakeholder relationships.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify opportunities, take initiative, and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify partnership opportunities and align organizational priorities with funder and stakeholder interests.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in proposal development, reporting, record keeping, and data management.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, navigate competing interests, and foster productive partnerships among diverse groups.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Other relevant skills you may have:

  • Experience working in the non-profit, environmental, conservation, government, Indigenous relations, or community development sectors.
  • Experience supporting grant writing, fundraising campaigns, sponsorship acquisition, donor stewardship, or revenue generation activities.
  • Experience using CRM, donor management, or project management systems.
  • Knowledge of and/or passion for environmental conservation, invasive species management, biodiversity protection, or related fields is considered an asset.
