At Belvedere Trading, Quantitative Trading Interns are some of the industry’s highly motivated most quantitative problem solvers. They have a love for financial markets and enjoy working in teams to learn about various trading concepts. Our Quantitative Trading Interns participate in a hands-on rotation between Belvedere’s trading desks and collaborate with Developers and Strategists in research to improve our trading systems. Quantitative Trading Interns are at the forefront of technology immersion as they learn best practices in software development and focus on projects related to trading logic development, electronic trading strategies, and quantitative research. Daily trading activities – Assist with analyzing daily trades and recapping significant trends

Rotations – Rotate between product groups to gain a broad understanding and knowledge of the market and Belvedere’s trading strategies

Desk strategy – Engage in daily collaborative strategy adjustments with your team to adapt to market dynamics

Research – Participate in quantitative research and the application of quantitative strategies while learning concepts behind our core market making operations

Data Analysis – Analyze extensive datasets to extract insights that bolster our trading strategies

Training – Benefit from our industry-leading BTU program, complemented by ongoing practical training within our trading operations, covering a spectrum from foundational knowledge to advanced proprietary concepts.

Communication – We need people who can speak confidently and concisely, especially when the stakes are high

Analytical – We’re looking for quantitative thinkers and master problem-solvers with strong data analysis skills

Team Player – Trading and development are not isolated activities at Belvedere, so great candidates will have demonstrated success in working in team-based environments

Curious – We'll teach you everything you need to know, but we love working with people who ask questions and are eager to get involved

Core development skills – You will need some training or a demonstrated ability to learn programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python

AI Fluency – Effectively use AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining independent judgement

Knowledge of the financial markets and trading industry is a plus but not a prerequisite

Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Ability to live in Chicago and attend the internship fully in person during the winter quarter of 2027 (January - March)
