Designer/Estimator

Blunier Builders, Inc. is a post frame building company located in Washington, IL that specializes in post frame buildings (pole buildings) for a variety of applications including agriculture, residential, and commercial use.  We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team in our Design/Estimating department.  The individual will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.  We offer competitive pay based on experience as well as great benefits.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build complete sets of Architectural building plans from written contracts with a CAD drafting program, including building plans & layouts, sections, custom details, truss drawings, etc.
• Accurately perform material take offs
• Peer review drawings and material order lists
• Assemble final project material lists and drawings
• Subcontractor and supplier solicitation and analysis
  

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to adapt and meet deadlines.
• Detail Oriented is a must
• Good Organizational skills
• Self Motivated
• Strong team player
• Good communication skills, both written & verbal
• Min 3 (preferably 5+) years of drafting experience developing plans for buildings, preferably in post-frame industry
