Diesel Mechanic

Blunier Builders, Inc. is a growing construction company located in Eureka, Illinois, seeking a motivated Mechanic to join our team.

Our company operates three divisions with a diverse fleet of equipment and vehicles that require ongoing maintenance and repair. This position offers a wide variety of work, ensuring that no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on equipment and vehicles.
• Complete service calls at active job sites.
• Repair and maintain power tools.
• Order, organize, and manage parts inventory.
• Help ensure company equipment remains safe, reliable, and job-site ready.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic abilities.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Welding and cutting torch experience is preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments, including crawling under vehicles.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings as needed.
