EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• An associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related area is preferred.
• Three years of successful clerical experience is required, some of which must include experience coordinating projects/programs independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
• Previous HR experience or internship is preferred.
• HRIS experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discreetly with extremely confidential information.
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication (both written and verbal), and cross-group collaboration skills required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as necessary, including some nights and weekends.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Provides clerical and administrative support to the Office of Human Resources.
• Provides oversight of the administration of HR specific programs such as recruiting, benefits enrollment, extra duty assignments, substitute management, leave administration, tuition reimbursement, employee recognition programs, etc.
• Performs office duties requiring discretion and independent judgment.
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
