BODYROK offers high-intensity, low-impact workouts that will tone, refine, and sculpt your body & mind in just 45 minutes. Our instructors have earned the reputation for delivering some of the most challenging and comprehensive workouts in California. We combine our proprietary Hybrid Pilates method taught on custom-built reformers to deliver one of the most efficient full-body workouts there is. Our trainers are connected to a microphone instructing to heart-pumping music in high-energy studios. The BODYROK method is built to be high-intensity & low-impact leaving our clients energized and feeling great!
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking individuals who are passionate about health, fitness, and the BODYROK brand.
Studio locations: Berkeley, Oakland, Rockridge, Alamo, Walnut Creek (6th studio coming soon)
Reports to: Operations Director
Job Summary
• The Area Operations Manager ensures that all operations functions within the studio provide the best member experience, and team member environment, and contribute to the studio's financial success.
• The Operations Manager recruits, interviews, trains, develops, and schedules a diverse team and provides leadership and direction to ensure the team achieves goals.
• This position is responsible for communicating and upholding company policies, and standards and delivering on our commitment to a clean, friendly, and well-maintained studio.
• Responsible for the successful attainment of studio targets (e.g. member service, cleanliness, revenue, and retention).
• Ensures that the facility is well equipped, and provides a clean and safe environment for both members and employees.
• The primary duty of this role is management. The majority of working time is spent managing studio operations and directing, scheduling, training and evaluating the studio team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage studio operations/studio walkthroughs
• Manage Studio Advisor scheduling
• Manage Studio Advisor time & attendance
• Create and implement retail & water inventory/sales reporting
• Studio Advisor hiring i.e. phone interviews & assist with in-person interviews
• Manage Studio Advisor onboarding
• Manage studio binders
• Manage Studio Advisor written warnings and disciplinary documentation
• Manage time and attendance and payroll submission for Studio Advisors
• Manage supply logs - per studio
• Supply distribution as needed
• Oversee cleanliness of studios
• Manage studio audits
• Manage and conduct Studio Advisor performance reviews
• Manage community events for the East Bay. Must have a strong passion for building community in and outside of the studio and have a passion to build community in the two new markets we are going into this year.
• Coordinate studio repairs and maintenance through approved vendors. This role is not required to perform repair, maintenance or construction work.
• Available for occasional weekend coverage, in studio or at a community event, on a rotating schedule
• Must be available three times a week for team conference calls
• Must be in studio a minimum of five days a week
Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in the studio; move about studio floors and rooms; review, revise, and create studio paperwork; communicate with employees, members, and the public
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• The employee occasionally sits, walks, kneels, and reaches with hands and arms
• These requirements may be met with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• The noise level in the environment is loud
• Ability to work a varied schedule to support the needs of the business, including frequent extended workdays, weekends and holidays may be required
Travel
• Must have a personal vehicle to travel between studios.
Time Off
• Employees on PTO, sick leave or scheduled days off are not expected to work or respond to work matters. Coverage will be arranged in advance.
