Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer

As a DevSecOps Engineer on the Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) team, you will be responsible for integrating security practices within the development and operations lifecycle of tactical enterprise systems. You will collaborate closely with software developers, security teams, and infrastructure engineers to design, implement, and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the delivery of resilient and compliant services in protected operational environments.

• →Leads the design, development, analyses, and maintenance of software systems that meet industry, customer and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards
• →Partners with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and reviews translation of system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts
• →Reviews completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities; leads integration and deployment of mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
• →Leads code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standard
• →Leads monitoring and reviewing test completion, verification processes and issue resolution for software systems
• →Leads development of user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products
• →Leads review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by tracking and evaluation of internal team and supplier performance
• →Leads implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development
• →Leads software project management and software supplier management activities

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 5+ years’ experience with containerization and Kubernetes (e.g. Elastic Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service)
• 5+ years’ experience with Kerberos, Active Directory, open LDAP
• Experience with Terraform, Jenkins, Git, and Ansible, Cloud formation, etc.
• Experience with Information Technology architecture including cloud and data architecture in a large-scale, hybrid cloud and on-prem environment

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
• Current Security+ (Sec+) certification or other current IAT level II DoD 8140 (previously 8570) Approved Baseline Certification
• Experience in Operating Systems:  Windows Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (Examples: NIST, DoD RMF, DISA STIGs, NISPOM, ICDs, JSIG)
• Experience in AWS Services E.g. VPC, IAM, EC2, Auto-scaling, ELB, ECR, S3, DynamoDB, Postgres (RDS), Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, VPC, Route 53, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, AWS Config, Cloudtrail,  AWS Developer Tools etc.
• Experience managing large server and IT systems, both bare metal and virtual machines

Summary pay range: USD $147,900 - $200,100
