Bridge Defense seeks a highly qualified Senior Systems Administrator to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services/microservices’ application’s current capability while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. Our applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Installs/loads operating system and application software.
  • Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.

Requirements

  • Active TOP SECRET/SCI with a CI polygraph test.
  • Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2.
  • Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA DevSecOps process.
  • Experience with multiple configuration management tools and resources.
  • Understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS architecture builds, Cloud, full-stack, OpenShift, and Java.
  • Familiar with GitLab, Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA, Nexus, Jenkins and other DevSecOps tools.
  • Must be analytical and effectively able to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.

  • Experience in the Intelligence Community.

  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, collaborative and motivated to champion continuous improvement
  • Ability to develop peer networks across an enterprise to maintain technology awareness and to support resolution of problems
  • Ability to operate across traditional technical boundaries, comfortable working in the compute space as well as the storage space in an operational capacity
  • Technically curious and driven to learn new skills.
  • Depending on project requirements, may be required to work within a compressed schedule; overtime should be expected when schedules demand it.
  • Willing to travel, if needed.
  • No Relocation.
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.
