Mobile Application Developer (iOS/Hybrid) - Job Description Overview We are a global team that designs and develops products to support the mobile platform used by Morgan Stanley's global employees and businesses. These include end-user-facing web applications, administrative tools, reporting capabilities, and automated processes. The candidate will independently own or contribute to multiple initiatives within the mobile development squad. The role involves working across the full stack to develop and support products used on desktop browsers and mobile devices while operating in an agile environment and implementing DevOps best practices and automation. ________________________________________ Responsibilities • Design and build advanced web and mobile applications. • Develop automated processes and workflow improvements supporting corporate-owned mobile devices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Integrate applications with external/vendor data sources and APIs. • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure robustness, edge-case handling, usability, and reliability. • Work on bug fixing and application performance improvements. • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency. • Ensure high standards of user experience and satisfaction for internal clients. • Create, review, and maintain support documentation. • Provide escalation support, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes for resolution. ________________________________________ Qualifications Experience: 8-10 Years ________________________________________ Primary Skills (Must Have) 1. iOS Development (Swift) • Developing and deploying iOS applications • Native iOS frameworks • Complete application lifecycle management • Provisioning profiles, certificates • TestFlight and App Store deployment 2. Hybrid Mobile / Web Application Development • Angular • Capacitor (or similar hybrid frameworks) • Building hybrid iOS applications using web technologies • Integration of native plugins with web applications 3. API & Library Integration • REST APIs • Third-party SDKs and libraries • Authentication frameworks (OIDC/OAuth) • API troubleshooting and integration 4. Java Development & Object-Oriented Design • Strong Java fundamentals • Backend services supporting mobile applications • OOP/OOO design principles 5. Troubleshooting & Debugging • Mobile application troubleshooting • API integration troubleshooting • Production support experience 6. Git & CI/CD • Git • Jenkins • Build and release pipelines ________________________________________ Secondary Skills (Nice to Have) 1. Android Development • Kotlin / Java • Android deployment • Native Android troubleshooting 2.
