The company provides a full international wealth management offering through its wealth planning, investment management, and banking services, to both business and private clients worldwide.

Job Purpose

The Wealth Adviser is a highly experienced advisory role responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing a personal portfolio of High Net Worth (HNW) clients. The role operates within a closely regulated environment and is focused on delivering high quality, compliant wealth advice and outstanding client outcomes.

The role holder is an individual contributor with full accountability for their own client portfolio, revenue delivery, and asset growth. While not a people manager or pod leader, the Wealth Adviser acts as a trusted, experienced professional who consistently demonstrates best practice, supports collaboration, and contributes positively to team capability and culture.

Responsibilities & Duties

Relationship Management: Act as the relationship manager for a portfolio of private clients, taking full responsibility for all aspects of the client relationship.

Compliant Advice: Deliver compliant financial, investment, and lending advice in line with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Service Delivery: Provide a consistently high level of service across banking, investments, fiduciary, and credit solutions, including appropriate cross-selling of wider group services.

Client Engagement: Build deep, trusted client relationships through professional advice, proactive engagement, and high service standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support complex client needs through effective collaboration with specialists and senior colleagues.

Leadership Support: Provide direct line management for Wealth Advisers and/or Wealth Executives, supporting performance, development, and engagement (Senior Wealth Manager duties).

Business Development: Drive sustainable business growth through proactive business development, originating new client relationships, and expanding wallet share with existing clients.

Portfolio Management: Manage, maintain, and grow a profitable personal book of business aligned to the £1m+ client segment.

Referrals & Networks: Proactively enhance existing relationships and secure new business through referrals, professional networks, and market activity.

Target Achievement: Achieve individual financial and business development targets in support of regional and overall business strategy.

Market Presence: Promote the business externally through networking, industry engagement, and market presence.

Governance & Suitability: Ensure advice delivered is suitable, well-documented, and aligned to regulatory and internal governance standards.

Ethical Standards: Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, and risk awareness in all client interactions.

Continuous Learning: Undertake continuous professional development in line with regulatory, professional body, and Training & Competency requirements.

Team Contribution: Act as a senior adviser within the team, supporting a positive performance culture through collaboration and professional example, as well as contributing to the sharing of knowledge, best practice, and market insight across the wider wealth management function.

Skills and Experience

Significant experience within a wealth management or private banking environment.

Proven capability in advising HNW clients (£1m+) and managing complex client relationships.

Strong track record of managing and growing a personal client portfolio in a regulated environment.

Excellent understanding of regulatory expectations, conduct risk, and advice suitability.

Strong commercial awareness combined with a disciplined risk and governance focus.

Qualifications

RDR compliant investment qualification: Minimum Level 6 (Essential for Senior Wealth Adviser).

RDR compliant investment qualification: Minimum Level 4 with the desire to achieve Level 6 in a timely manner (Essential for Wealth Adviser).

CeMAP or equivalent regulated lending qualification (Desirable, or willingness to obtain if required for role scope).

Maintains all required CPD, professional membership, and regulatory standing relevant to role and jurisdiction.

Regulatory Responsibilities

The role holder is responsible for maintaining a clear understanding of their regulatory obligations and for ensuring their actions, decisions, and advice consistently meet regulatory, governance, and conduct standards.

The regulatory obligations associated with this role are formally documented in a separate Regulatory Statement of Responsibilities and are managed in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
