Accountant

QUALIFICATIONS

• First degree, preferably in accounting
• ACCA Level 2 or equivalent
• At least three (3) years practical experience in accounting procedures
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Working knowledge of accounting software (Sage 300 and QuickBooks)
• Be result oriented with an eye for details
• Have excellent time management skills and achieves deadlines

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and financial summaries
• Maintain and update the investment schedule
• Review monthly GCT returns and supporting documents to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and maintain audit schedules
• Perform bank reconciliations and subledger reconciliations, including payables and receivables
• Process fortnightly payroll
• Record and reconcile related-party transactions
• Update and maintain the general ledger
• Conduct variance analysis comparing actual performance to budget and prior year
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecast
• Provide management with financial analysis and recommendations
• Assist with tax filings and support the external audit process
• Prepare cash flow projections
