Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Prepared Foods Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing, packaging, merchandising, and serving high-quality prepared food items while providing exceptional customer service. This position plays an important role in supporting the success of our Prepared Foods Department by creating fresh meal solutions and delivering an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service to all customers.
• Prepare and serve prepared food items, including meals, sandwiches, soups, and other specialty offerings.
• Package, label, and merchandise prepared foods according to company standards.
• Assist customers with catering orders and entertaining needs.
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked, and organized prepared food displays.
• Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in prepared foods, deli, food service, grocery, or customer service preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow recipes, preparation guidelines, and company procedures.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.
