Position Overview:

Our Prepared Foods department offers a wide selection of fresh prepared meals and sides to meet customers' everyday dining, entertaining, and catering needs. As a Prep Cook, you will assist with ingredient preparation, product replenishment, and customer service while maintaining high standards of quality and freshness.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking, including dicing, chopping, and other food preparation tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service at the service counter by answering questions and offering meal suggestions.
• Package, stock, and replenish products as needed.
• Assist customers with catering orders and entertaining needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
• Follow food safety procedures and department standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous culinary, restaurant, cooking, or food preparation experience preferred.
• Proficiency with basic knife skills, including dicing and chopping.
• Culinary Arts education or a related degree preferred, but not required.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.
