Join the Financial Planning team within Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) Technology, where we build scalable platforms that empower clients to plan for their financial futures—whether working with an advisor or navigating independently. As a Scrum Master, you will partner with Agile teams to deliver meaningful, client-focused outcomes while continuously improving how work gets done. You will play a critical role in shaping delivery practices, enabling team performance, and fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning. This is an opportunity to influence both team effectiveness and the client experience in a highly visible, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Enable Agile teams to deliver high-quality, customer-centric outcomes by coaching and guiding them toward high performance
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and team collaboration (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives) to drive clarity, alignment, and continuous improvement
- Identify and remove impediments that impact team delivery while fostering team ownership and accountability
- Promote Lean and Agile practices through hands-on coaching and practical application within the team context
- Drive effective communication and collaboration across business and technology partners
- Support a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making
- Use Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown, cycle time) to help teams inspect, adapt, and improve delivery outcomes
- Partner with stakeholders to align priorities, manage risks, and ensure predictable delivery
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
- 5+ years of experience serving in a Scrum Master or Agile delivery role within a software development environment
- Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Proven ability to apply Agile and Lean principles to improve team delivery, collaboration, and outcomes
- Hands-on experience using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, release planning) to drive continuous improvement
- Experience identifying and removing delivery impediments while enabling teams to become more self-organizing
- Ability to facilitate discussions, drive decision-making, and navigate constructive team dialogue
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Demonstrated learning agility, including the ability to quickly understand complex concepts and adapt to new tools or practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or similar scaled Agile environment
- Background in software development or prior hands-on technical experience
- Experience supporting teams with cross-team dependencies or large-scale initiatives
- Ability to analyze delivery trends and recommend improvements to enhance team or organizational performance
- Experience creating clear, audience-specific documentation or communications for stakeholders
- Exposure to financial services or regulated environments
- Experience leveraging automation or AI-enabled tools to improve delivery efficiency and reduce manual effort
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
