Provide strategic counsel to the executive leadership team and board of directors. Protect and enhance the organization's reputation by monitoring and responding to media coverage and public perception. Implement crisis communication plans and manage communication during challenging situations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, government officials, and community leaders. Identify and prioritize stakeholder communication needs and expectations. Oversee media relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and media interviews. Act as the organization's spokesperson when necessary. Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure that employees are well-informed and engaged. Coordinate internal events, newsletters, and intranet content. Lead the organization's response to crises, including developing crisis communication plans, messaging, and media relations strategies. Maintain poise and transparency in high-stress situations. Define and uphold the organization's brand identity and reputation. Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication channels. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts. Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement. Manage the communication department's budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effective solutions. Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the communication department. Assist senior executives and leaders in crafting and delivering effective communication, including speeches, presentations, and messaging. Monitor and engage with government officials and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and advocate for the organization's interests. Develop and communicate the organization's commitment to social responsibility and sustainability practices. Conduct research to understand industry trends, audience preferences, and competitors. Use research findings to inform communication strategies. Advocate for public policies and positions that align with the organization's goals and values. Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance the organization's visibility and impact. Uphold ethical communication practices, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Proficiency in creating engaging content tailored for different platforms and audiences. Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools. Basic understanding of PR and media relations concepts. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content creation tools.
