Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Livelihoods and Food Security Junior level (Talent Pool) Experience: 1-3 years Location: Multiple (Kenya and Global) Industries: Multiple Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of livelihoods and food security projects, under the supervision of senior staff members. Support the planning and organization of field assessments, surveys, and data collection activities related to livelihoods and food security. Assist in the development of project proposals, work plans, and monitoring frameworks for livelihoods and food security interventions. Participate in community engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and training sessions on livelihoods diversification and agricultural practices. Help compile and analyze data collected during assessments and surveys, and contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations. Collaborate with project partners, community leaders, and beneficiaries to ensure the effective implementation of project activities and the participation of target communities. Support the monitoring and evaluation of project activities, including tracking progress against project indicators and documenting lessons learned. Stay informed about developments and best practices in the fields of livelihoods and food security, and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement. Provide administrative support as needed, including organizing project documentation, scheduling meetings, and maintaining communication with project stakeholders. Contribute to the organization's social media and communication efforts related to livelihoods and food security projects, including content creation and dissemination. Requirements Core competencies Communication skills Teamwork Adaptability Time management Problem-solving Technical Competencies: Data collection Data analysis Project coordination Community engagement Report writing Monitoring and evaluation Agricultural knowledge Livelihoods assessment Food security concepts Basic budget management Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in fields such as Agriculture, Development Studies, Economics, Environmental Science, or related areas. 1-3 years of experience in project management, community development, or related fields is required. Strong interest in livelihoods and food security issues, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable populations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis software is preferred. Fluency in English is typically required, with proficiency in other languages relevant to the geographical context of operations being advantageous.
