Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Junior level (Talent Pool) Experience: 1-3 years Location: Multiple (Kenya and Global) Industries: Humanitarian,NGO,INGO Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, systems, and tools in alignment with project objectives and donor requirements. Support in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to track project performance indicators, outputs, and outcomes, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data. Conduct regular field visits to project sites to monitor project activities, assess progress, identify challenges, and gather qualitative and quantitative data. Support in the design and implementation of baseline, mid-term, and end-line assessments, surveys, and evaluations to measure project impact and effectiveness. Collaborate with project teams to develop data collection plans, sampling methodologies, and data collection instruments tailored to specific projects and interventions. Assist in conducting data quality assessments and validations to ensure data integrity, completeness, and consistency. Support in preparing comprehensive and timely M&E reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations. Provide technical support and capacity building to project staff and partners on M&E methodologies, data collection techniques, and reporting requirements. Contribute to organizational learning and knowledge management by documenting best practices, lessons learned, and success stories. Stay informed about trends, innovations, and best practices in M&E within the humanitarian sector and incorporate relevant approaches into project M&E activities. Any other task assigned. Requirements Core Competencies: Analytical Skills Data Collection and Analysis Report Writing and Presentation Skills Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking Ethical Conduct Flexibility and Adaptability Teamwork and Collaboration Results Oriented Technical Competencies: Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks and methodologies Database Management and experience with tools such as MySQL, Microsoft Access, or other relevant database management software is an added advantage. Data Visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms. Report Writing Project Management Research Skills IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software. Monitoring Systems Developments Evaluation Design and Implementation Qualifications/Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Project Management or a related discipline. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector. Strong understanding of M&E principles, methodologies, and tools, including logical frameworks, results frameworks, and theory of change. Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques, including surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and participatory methods. Experience in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) and data visualization tools. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to humanitarian principles and values, with a passion for improving the well-being of vulnerable populations. Proficiency in spoken and written English required; UN working languages; Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic and Russian is an advantage. Computer literacy with possible advanced Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms access.
