Provide strategic guidance and technical oversight to project teams and partners on complex nutrition issues, ensuring the integration of evidence-based interventions and best practices. Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and donors, to mobilize resources, foster collaboration, and advocate for nutrition priorities. Lead the design and execution of research studies, surveys, and evaluations to generate evidence, assess program impact, and inform decision-making. Drive advocacy efforts to influence policy change, improve nutrition governance, and prioritize nutrition investments at local, national, and global levels. Mentor and coach junior staff, building capacity and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the organization. Represent the organization in high-level forums, conferences, and meetings, showcasing our expertise, sharing lessons learned, and contributing to thought leadership in the field of nutrition. Lead the development and submission of high-quality proposals, funding requests, and reports to donors, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards. Stay abreast of emerging research, trends, and innovations in the field of nutrition, and contribute to the generation of knowledge and learning within the organization. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mainstream nutrition across sectors, including health, agriculture, education, and social protection, to achieve sustainable development goals. Requirements Competencies Core Competencies: Leadership Strategic Thinking Communication Collaboration Decision-making Problem-solving Adaptability Accountability Strategic Planning Mentoring and Coaching Technical Competencies: Nutrition Policy and Advocacy Program Management Research and Evaluation Nutrition Assessment Food Security and Livelihoods Public Health Nutrition Capacity Building Advocacy and Communication Policy Analysis and Development Financial Management Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Nutrition, Public Health, Dietetics, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in nutrition programming, policy development, and advocacy, with a proven track record of leadership and impact. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on evidence-based interventions and best practices. Strong technical knowledge in areas such as nutrition assessment, food security, public health nutrition, and maternal and child health. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-makers at all levels. Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams, foster collaboration, and mentor staff to achieve organizational goals. Experience in resource mobilization, including proposal development, donor engagement, and fundraising, with a successful track record of securing grants and contracts. Fluency in English is typically required, with proficiency in other languages relevant to the geographical context of operations being advantageous.
