This includes coordinating with program teams to identify funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, negotiating grant agreements, and monitoring grant compliance and reporting requirements. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Develop and manage organizational budgets, ensure accurate financial records and reports, and provide strategic financial analysis and advice to senior management and program teams. Lead the annual budgeting process and provide guidance to program managers in developing program budgets. Monitor budget performance, track expenditure trends, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and resource reallocation to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for financial and operational matters. Coordinate donor reporting requirements, ensure timely submission of reports, and address donor inquiries and concerns in collaboration with program teams. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, donor regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. Develop and implement internal controls, risk management strategies, and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen organizational compliance and mitigate operational risks. Provide leadership and support to operations staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and accountability. Develop training programs and resources to enhance staff skills and knowledge in grants management, finance, and budgeting. Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategic plans, goals, and objectives. Provide input on operational priorities, resource allocation decisions, and programmatic strategies to achieve long-term sustainability and impact. Qualifications/Requirements: Master's degree in finance, business administration, international development, or a related field. A professional certification in finance or grants management would be an asset. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in grants management, finance, and budgeting, preferably with an international NGO or development agency. Strong understanding of donor regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in grants management and financial stewardship. Proven track record of successful leadership, strategic planning, and operational management in a complex organizational setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages would be an advantage. Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
