Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Procurement Internship (Talent Pool) Experience: 0-1 year Location: Multiple (Kenya and Global) Industries: Multiple Roles Within the Talent Pool Include but not limited to Procurement Intern Supply Chain Intern Vendor Management Intern Sourcing Intern Logistics Intern Contracts Intern Cost Analyst Intern Compliance Intern Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans. Research potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Contribute to negotiations with suppliers for favorable terms. Support day-to-day procurement activities. Assist in the preparation of purchase orders. Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs. Collect and analyze data related to procurement activities. Assist in preparing reports on procurement performance. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Support in maintaining relationships with vendors. Assist in monitoring vendor performance and compliance. Address and escalate issues with vendors as needed. Assist in the management of contracts throughout their lifecycle. Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Support in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices. Contribute to the assessment of new and existing suppliers. Collaborate with team members to identify cost-saving opportunities. Contribute to the optimization of procurement processes. Provide general administrative support to the Procurement team. Maintain accurate and organized procurement records. Assist in preparing documentation for procurement activities. Actively engage in learning about procurement processes. Participate in training sessions and workshops. Seek opportunities to expand knowledge in procurement. Core Competencies: Communication Skills Team Collaboration Time Management Adaptability Problem Solving Attention to Detail Initiative Technical Competencies: Market Research Data Analysis Negotiation Skills Administrative Skills Procurement Processes Contract Management Cost Analysis Vendor Relationship Management Requirements Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's degree program, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic understanding of procurement processes and principles. Awareness of supply chain management concepts. Familiarity with basic procurement terminology.
