Here are some key benefits of being in a talent pool: Linkage to employers Access to Opportunities and skill matching Networking Career Development Position: Procurement Junior (Talent Pool) Experience: 1-3 years Location: Multiple (Kenya and Global) Industries: Multiple Roles Within the Talent Pool Include (but not limited to): Procurement Assistant Procurement Coordinator Supply Chain Assistant Procurement Analyst Contracts Administrator Vendor Management Coordinator Key Roles and Responsibilities Assist in monitoring inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock is maintained. Participate in regular stock audits and reconciliations. Process customer orders and coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Track and confirm order shipments. Assist in liaising with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials and goods. Monitor supplier performance and report any issues to senior staff. Assist in arranging transportation for goods, including selecting carriers, scheduling shipments, and tracking deliveries. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations. Support warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments, arranging goods within the warehouse, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space. Assist in managing inventory storage, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) practices. Enter data related to shipments, inventory, and orders into computer systems or databases. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation. Assist in quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet established standards. Report any quality issues to senior staff. Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance efficiency in operations and logistics. Assist in implementing approved process improvements. Communicate with various internal departments, such as sales, procurement, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations. Coordinate with external partners, including suppliers, carriers, and logistics providers. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in warehouse and logistics operations. Report safety hazards or incidents promptly. Assist in resolving logistical challenges and issues that may arise during the transportation and distribution process. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation, shipping, and inventory management. Assist in cost-control efforts, such as optimizing transportation routes and minimizing waste. Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge in operations and logistics. Accurate record-keeping and data entry skills. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
