Manage and lead a team of procurement professionals. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the procurement team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement department. Oversee the selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms. Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation to execution and renewal. Ensure that contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise. Develop cost-saving initiatives and strategies. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization. Monitor market trends and economic factors that may impact procurement costs. Assess and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process. Develop and implement risk management strategies. Monitor geopolitical and market factors that may impact the supply chain. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay informed about changes in procurement-related legislation. Conduct audits to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal teams. Work closely with other departments to understand and address procurement needs. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to optimize the procurement process. Identify areas for process improvement within the procurement function. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements. Develop and present reports on procurement performance. Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
