Participate in project meetings, workshops, and field visits to contribute insights and learn from experienced professionals. Support the development of project work plans, budgets, and progress reports by providing research and administrative assistance. Conduct field assessments, surveys, and interviews to collect data on WASH indicators and community needs, following established protocols. Assist in data entry, cleaning, and analysis using relevant software and tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Assist in preparing reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations under supervision. Assist in the design and implementation of WASH infrastructure projects, such as boreholes, latrines, and water supply systems, following technical guidelines and standards. Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to field teams and community partners, under supervision. Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and beneficiary data, ensuring confidentiality and data security. Prepare written reports, case studies, and success stories highlighting project achievements and lessons learned, with guidance from senior team members. Contribute to the development of project proposals, concept notes, and donor reports by providing data and insights, as assigned. Participate in training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing events to enhance technical skills and competencies in WASH-related topics. Support the mentorship and training of community members, volunteers, and project staff on WASH-related best practices and procedures. Assist in the development and dissemination of training materials, guidelines, and manuals to strengthen community capacity. Assist in identifying areas for improvement and recommend adjustments to project strategies, methodologies, and approaches based on data and observations. Participate in coordination meetings, working groups, and forums related to WASH initiatives, contributing insights and representing the organization. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all aspects of work, seeking guidance from senior team members as needed. Comply with safety and security protocols, especially when working in remote or hazardous environments, prioritizing personal and team safety. Requirements Core Competencies: Strong commitment to humanitarian principles and values. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in multicultural and challenging environments. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills. Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances. Technical Competencies: Knowledge of WASH principles, standards, and guidelines. Familiarity with water supply, sanitation, and hygiene promotion techniques. Experience in conducting WASH assessments and designing appropriate interventions. Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Understanding of community engagement and participatory approaches in WASH programming. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental science, public health, or related field. 1-3 years of relevant experience (internships included) are preferred in the Humanitarian or development sector. Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g., French, Arabic, Spanish) is a plus. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis software. Ability to travel and work in remote or insecure environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
