Roles within the talent pool include: WASH Senior project manager WASH Senior Engineer WASH Senior advisor WASH Programme manager Responsibilities Lead and manage WASH projects from inception to completion Providing strategic leadership throughout all phases of the program management cycle Leading effective communication and reporting between the INGO/NGO and external stakeholders Supervising community meetings and project evaluations to ensure adherence to technical quality standards Develop and implement strategic plans for water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders Coordinate with local communities, government agencies, and NGOs to ensure project success Ensuring compliance with NGO/INGO standards and donor targets throughout project design, implementation, and evaluation Overseeing project management, expenditure, and procurement plans to achieve program results Creating a continuous learning environment to capitalize on lessons learned and inform strategic decisions Integrating conflict and security assessments into project design and implementation Implementing effective customer feedback mechanisms and participatory programming Monitor project progress and evaluate outcomes to inform future interventions Contribute to advocacy efforts and policy development in the WASH sector Developing and implementing work plans, expenditure plans, and monitoring and evaluation plans for grants Ensuring operational systems are in place and compliant with grant requirements Proactively monitoring field team safety and liaising with external parties to maintain a secure environment Maintaining effective working relationships with implementing partners and stakeholders Monitoring the performance of local NGO partners and ensuring compliance with partnership agreements Creating a collaborative work environment that fosters trust, respect, and empowerment Identifying training needs and implementing capacity-building initiatives for team members Requirements Core Competencies: Leadership and strategic thinking Project management and coordination Stakeholder engagement and partnership building Problem-solving and decision-making Communication and interpersonal skills Technical Competencies: Expertise in water, sanitation, and hygiene principles and practices Knowledge of relevant international standards and guidelines (e.g., Sphere standards, UNICEF guidelines) Experience with WASH infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance Familiarity with data collection and analysis methods for WASH monitoring and evaluation Proficiency in project planning and budget management Qualifications/Requirements: Master's degree/Degree or equivalent in civil engineering, environmental science, public health, or related field Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian or development sector Proven track record of successfully managing WASH projects in diverse settings Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus Commitment to humanitarian principles and values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Disclaimer: Career Bridge is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment.
