The Assistant Regional Director supports the implementation of ADL’s programs and priorities across the Desert Region, including Nevada and Arizona, while providing cross regional support as needed. Working closely with the Regional Director and other ADL staff, this position plays a key role in advancing regional priorities, responding to incidents, organizing and performing regional administrative tasks, supporting programs and advocacy efforts, building and maintaining community relationships and ensuring strong execution and follow through.
Responsibilities

- Serve as a primary point of contact for incident intake and response. Conduct initial fact finding, communicate with impacted individuals and institutions, maintain required records, and work with appropriate ADL staff to resolve or escalate incidents as needed.
- Support marketing and communications efforts, including newsletters, email communications, social media, program promotion and other outreach. Coordinate with Division communications staff to ensure activities, programs and impact are effectively communicated to key audiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with Jewish and non Jewish community organizations, law enforcement, government officials, educational institutions, interfaith and multicultural partners, and other community leaders.
- Serve as an ADL representative in the community, including attending coalition and community meetings, delivering presentations and trainings, and representing ADL at programs and events.
- Maintain a working knowledge of ADL’s programs, policies, positions, research and resources in order to respond effectively to inquiries from community members and partners.
- Support leadership and volunteer engagement efforts and oversee leadership development programs as assigned.
- Provide staff support to Regional Board committees and task forces, including meeting preparation, communication and follow up.
- Support the planning and execution of conferences, programs, trainings, board meetings, retreats and other special events.
- Coordinate with Division and national staff across communications, education, development, partnerships and other functions to advance priorities.
- Provide programmatic and operational support to other ADL regions as assigned, including incident response, programs, community engagement, board and volunteer support, and other priority areas.
- Manage day to day office operations, including office organization, vendors, supplies, contracts, invoices, payments and other administrative needs. Help ensure the office is organized, responsive and operating effectively.
- Support financial operations, including processing invoices and check requests, tracking expenses and assisting the Regional Director with budget management and preparation as needed.
- Maintain strong systems for tracking projects, deadlines, commitments and follow up across assigned areas of responsibility.
- Serve on ADL task forces and committees and undertake additional projects and responsibilities as needed to advance the goals of ADL.
- Position may require working occasional evenings and weekends.

- Graphic design experience preferred (using tools such as Canva)
- Comfort in working with colleagues remotely across the country essential.
- Strong competency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Familiarity with Box, Canva, LucidPress, Salesforce, and social media platforms, or ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms.
- The ideal candidate has several years of progressively responsible community outreach experience, including program and operational management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to represent ADL and to attend community events. Some travel within the region.
- ADL is a hybrid environment; this role will require 3 days in the office.
