Now we're entering our most exciting chapter yet — new products, a sharpened focus, and a market that genuinely needs what we've built.
Responsibilities
~1 min read• Own quality across every platform Harver supports — set the strategy, define what "healthy" looks like for each platform, and hold a continuously current view of quality and a standing plan for how to improve it.
• Lead and grow the QA function — manage the QA Engineers responsible for each platform, coach and develop them, set clear direction, and build a high-performing, high-trust team.
• Shift quality left — bring QA into discovery by default, so quality risks, edge cases, and acceptance expectations are shaped before engineering takes ownership rather than discovered late.
• Own acceptance criteria and test contracts as the backbone of quality — ensure stories reach engineering with testable criteria, risk tiers, and non-functional requirements defined up front, so engineers build against a clear contract.
• Own and evolve the test automation architecture and tooling — engineers write the tests; you own the frameworks, pattern libraries, and standards they build against, and you keep them fit for a growing platform.
• Drive production health across platforms — review production signals on a regular cadence, monitor NFR compliance, track bugs and escalations by platform and severity, and make feature health scores available and trustworthy for every new feature.
• Lead incident response from a quality lens — you hold independent authority to declare an escalation without waiting for approval, drive root-cause analysis, and close the loop by updating contracts so the same gap doesn't reappear.
• Configure and maintain AI-assisted quality pipelines across the delivery lifecycle — from solution-document and AC review through test generation, PR risk scoring, and production signal analysis.
• Proven experience managing QA Engineers — you've led a quality team, developed people, and set direction, not just delivered your own work.
• Command of our technology stack — you're comfortable and hands-on with Playwright, Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Postgres.
• Fluency with AI-assisted engineering — you know your way around Claude Code and can set up agents and skills to compress manual effort and raise coverage.
• Deep, senior-level automation expertise — you're hands-on and credible in writing automation tests against the stack above.
• A track record of owning test architecture and contracts — acceptance criteria, risk tiers, NFRs, and the frameworks engineers build against.
• Strong production-health instincts — comfort with monitoring, signal review, incident response, and turning production patterns into better coverage.
• The judgment to know when to escalate and the confidence to make that call independently.
• A builder's mindset — you scale quality through systems, standards, and people rather than personal throughput.
• Preferred: exposure to AI-assisted quality tooling, mutation testing, and observability stacks (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), and experience owning quality across multiple products or platforms at once.
