Maintenance Technician (Heritage Trails Apartments)

Buckingham is seeking a tenacious maintenance professional who demonstrates a high sense of urgency, manages priorities effectively, is coachable and overcomes obstacles. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining optimal resident experience, property performance and presentation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain valid Driver’s License within 30 days of hire and reliable private transportation
• EPA Designation/Certification preferred

• Minimum two years demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and grounds keeping
• Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

• Ability to operate a two-axle motor vehicle
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and up to 100 lbs with the help of a lifting device.
• Must be able to perform all duties related to fine detail of mechanical devices
• Ability to operate all necessary tools to perform the essential functions of the position
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards
• Ability to perform a variety of duties in all types of weather
• Ability to maintain 24-hour on-call status
• Must have an active smart phone for this position and will be required. You will be provided a monthly stipend for the needed cell phone use to perform your job

As Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for all daily repairs and maintenance of the apartment community. You will perform services needed for HVAC systems, electrical/mechanical systems, plumbing, grounds, structural elements, mechanical equipment and refurbishment of apartments. A strong candidate is one with a high degree of accountability and ownership, excellent time management skills and internal and external customer service. #mc
