The Infrastructure & Network Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of Carenet's enterprise infrastructure environments, including server, virtualization, identity, cloud-connected, and network services. This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable technology platforms that support business operations across on-premises and cloud environments. The engineer serves as a technical resource for infrastructure operations, hybrid connectivity, network services, and cloud-integrated technologies, helping maintain service availability, operational efficiency, and operational resiliency.
This role strengthens Carenet's operational performance by proactively monitoring enterprise systems, resolving complex network and infrastructure issues, supporting technology implementations, and partnering with architecture, security, cloud, and operations teams. Through strong technical expertise, problem-solving, and operational discipline, Network & Infrastructure Engineer helps reduce operational risk, improve service reliability, and support future business growth.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure and network environments.
- Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and identity-integrated infrastructure environments.
- Experience supporting VMware or comparable virtualization platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise networking environments including routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall technologies.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
- Experience supporting backup, recovery, and infrastructure resiliency solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, network, security, and connectivity issues.
- Experience with infrastructure and network monitoring, alerting, and operational support processes.
- Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting Azure networking and Azure infrastructure services.
- Experience supporting hybrid connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience supporting AWS infrastructure or cloud-integrated services.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and network management platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, Meraki Dashboard, FortiManager, or similar tools).
- Experience supporting regulated environments and audit requirements.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and change-management processes.
- Relevant networking, cloud, security, or IT service management certifications.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- ITIL Foundation
- Fortinet NSE Certification
- Other infrastructure, cloud, networking, or security certifications
