Whale's Rib Server

From our deck swabs to the captains of our kitchen, we welcome the best and brightest to our crew. We run a tight ship and each person on our team plays an integral role to ensure smooth sailing. We’re looking for driven individuals that would make an excellent addition to our unit and we hope that’s you.

• →Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and  procedural training
• →Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• →Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly                           
• →Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• →Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner                          
• →Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• →Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• →Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework                            
• →Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests                         

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift                         
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently                         
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English                        
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc                         
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes                    
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes
