Field Service Technician - Installer

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conduct site surveys of customer locations to ensure a successful install of Hamilton products.
- →Troubleshoot and install large scale automated freezers, air compressors and dryers.
- →Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures. Orders and replaces parts as needed.
- →Research and answer customer questions about product features, issues, and upgrades.
- →Performs start up testing and customer training on features and general maintenance of product.
- →Has solid knowledge of the organization’s products and services.
- →Performs customer user training.
- →Contributes to the R&D aspects of projects by presenting the install perspective.
- →Provide on-site install, repairs, and quality checks.
- →Provide remote support via phone, e-mail, and computer.
- →Clearly and accurately complete documentation on time.
- →Installer travel is roughly 50+% domestic travel.
- →Regular commute to and from customer sites with ability to navigate within the region. Must follow traffic laws and correctly route themselves, ensuring on-time arrival at customer site.

Requirements

- Able to read schematics and assembly drawings.
- Have excellent communication skills, which are appropriate for a customer-facing role.
- Be hardworking and enthusiastic with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to work independently with limited direction as well as in a team.
- Be capable of working under pressure without compromise.
- Must have the ability to manage and meet schedule commitments.
- Must be able to travel frequently and be flexible, subject to Business requirements.
- Willingness to work additional hours and the flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
- Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- Associates degree or equivalent professional experience-based knowledge or certification. A degree or working towards a degree is an advantage.
- Experience in automation or similar is essential.
- Experience working with customers in the life science/clinical/pharmaceutical field would also be an advantage
