Offsite Catering Events Manager

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is looking for an Offsite Catering Events Manager with 2 years of catering events experience. We reward our teams with benefits, career-long training and growth opportunities.

• →Manage and supervise offsite catered events
• →Solicit new catering clients through prospecting and cold calling
• →Develop and accurately write catering proposals and contracts; follow specific offsite event instructions
• →Staff all catering events, supervise employees working the event, and clearly communicate all details to employees
• →Load, transport and unload food, furniture and equipment to off-site events or designated storage space using vehicle provided in variable traffic (must provide proof of current drivers license and MVR compliance)
• →Attend tastings and weekly catering meetings
• →Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts
• →Respond to client and guest questions and schedule catering events in online system
• →Model and promote teamwork across all teams
• →Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
• →Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed
• →Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds

• 2+ years of catering events management experience
• Experienced with cold calling
• Skilled in developing guest rapport
