We are seeking an Assistant to join our Attorney Talent team in the New York office. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office three days a week. This role is responsible for assisting with key attorney talent and HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, data entry, and employee record maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • →Coordinate details related to onboarding of lateral associates, including the collection of paperwork and preparation of orientation schedules and materials.
  • →Maintain personnel records in Workday by uploading relevant documents and processing changes.
  • →Respond to requests for employment verifications and prepare verification letters.
  • →Assist with administrative tasks and scheduling related to the Transactional Rotation Program.
  • →Work with the team on new associate orientation planning and preparation and maintain First Year Associate spreadsheet .
  • →Process and track a high volume of invoices and expenses in Emburse Chrome River.
  • →Provide general administrative assistance to the Attorney Talent Department such as responding to attorney inquiries.
  • →Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience, ideally in an HR or legal environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills); experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Be a proactive, self-starter and have strong client service orientation.
  • Be a team-player, able to take direction and be a quick-learner.
  • Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be able to apply good judgment.
  • Must be flexible for overtime as needed.
