Respiratory Therapist (Pediatrics)

$33.00 - $50.20 / Hour

Most of our kids are trach- and vent-dependent. That makes RT the heart of their care here, not a consult you page between floors.

 

• Pay: $33–$50.20/hr + premium night differential
• Bonus: $10,000 sign-on
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7p–7:30a. [3 shifts a week + every third weekend.]
• Your patients: Medically complex children on home and long-term vents, trachs and airway clearance
• Your caseload: [X–X patients per shift]. You'll know every child by name.
• Training: Paid pediatric orientation with experienced RTs. Adult vent experience? We'll teach you peds.

• →Manage ventilators, trachs and airways for medically complex children
• →Assess, treat and respond quickly to respiratory changes and emergencies
• →Perform airway clearance, suctioning and trach changes
• →Drive vent weaning and decannulation goals with the care team
• →Teach families and staff, including preparation for discharge home
• →Document accurately and follow AARC and regulatory standards

• RRT or CRT (NBRC) and an active Pennsylvania RT license
• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred)
• Current AHA BLS
• Pediatric or vent experience preferred, not required. Strong adult vent skills transfer, and we train.
