Cultural Resources Technical Advisor

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Cultural Resources Technical Advisor to support our cultural resources practice across the Southeast region, with a focus on Florida and surrounding states. Our Southeast team works on a diverse range of projects spanning transportation, energy, land development, water resources, and federal programs.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership, support field and project efforts, and help ensure the successful delivery of cultural resources services and agency deliverables.

This is a temporary, hourly/non-exempt, On-Demand/On-Call position with standard working hours less than 19 hours per week on average.

The position can be based in the Jacksonville, FL area or remotely within the Southeast region, depending on business needs and project requirements. 

• →Ten (10) or more years of cultural resources supervisory and fieldwork experience.
• →Technical specialization (i.e. lithic analysis, faunal analysis, historical archaeology, architectural history, etc.).
• →Past peer-reviewed publication record and conference presentation experience.
• →Ability to be listed on various federal and state cultural resource permits in other states desired.

This position may require domestic travel, including travel by commercial airline. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain all valid travel documents and identification required for work-related travel throughout the duration of employment.  

Takes responsibility for team safety, developing safety plans (when applicable), and anticipating potential safety hazards.  

SWCA is committed to salary equity and transparency. The expected pay range for this southeast based position is $37.34-$63.35/hr. Actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Eligible employees may also receive performance-based bonuses.
