Day to day you will be responsible for:

• →Acceptance of high value goods such as radioactive goods, live animals or dangerous cargo
• →Duties including but not limited to greeting clients and visitors, answering telephone queries and responding to emails
• →Comply with all relevant legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements
• →Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• →Additional warehouse duties as required
• →Basic Customs Clearance Process
• →Invoicing
• →Processing import and export trucks and flights to specific deadlines

To be successful in this role you will need to be or have:

• Have the ability to get to the World Freight Terminal by 07:00 and 19:00
• In possession of at least three GCSE’s or equivalent
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays) 
• Ability to speak and understand the English language 
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be IT literate and able to learn airline specific computer systems
• Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
• Able to demonstrate good customer service
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Self motivated and able to work independently 
• Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desired
• Have good organisational skills and demonstrate excellent attention to detail
