Residence Specialist (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Residence Specialist II professionals to join our Residential Services team in Vineland, New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals with degrees in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Sociology, or related fields who are looking to gain valuable experience in behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, residential services, and community mental health.

As a Residence Specialist, you'll provide direct support services that help residents develop life skills, achieve recovery goals, and maintain successful community living.

• →Support residents in achieving individualized recovery and treatment goals
• →Assist with daily living skills, personal growth, and community integration
• →Participate in the development and implementation of individualized service plans
• →Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and resident records
• →Monitor resident progress and communicate observations to the treatment team
• →Facilitate recreational, educational, wellness, and skill-building activities
• →Provide transportation assistance when needed

• Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Social Work
  • Psychology
  • Human Services
  • Counseling
  • Sociology
  • Or a related field

• Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, residential services, human services, or community-based programs
• Experience supporting individuals living with mental health or co-occurring disorders
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care
• Experience as a Residential Counselor, Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Case Aide, or Community Support Worker
• Bilingual English/Spanish
