Laboratory Technician – Molecular and Cell Biology - Part Time

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to:

• Starting wage: $20.50/hour with performance-based increases over time
• Training period: ~30 hours/week for 4-5 weeks
• Post-training: ~20 hours/week — but your schedule will vary, and flexibility is essential
• Scheduling: Minimum 1-week notice provided; occasional extra shifts may be requested

• →Process and extract biological samples (blood, urine, plasma, feces) manually and via automation
• →Prepare solutions and reagents
• →Record and document test data in notebooks and electronic systems
• →Support PBMC harvesting and processing
• →Perform analytical analysis to support flow cytometry and PCR analysis
• →Maintain strong attention to detail while completing repetitive, precise laboratory tasks

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree — or 2+ years of coursework — in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field
• Experience with sterile technique working in a biosafety cabinet.
• Strong pipetting experience; expect 2–3 hours of pipetting daily, occasionally up to 8 hours
• Basic computer skills; data entry comprises ~50% of each shift
• GLP experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
