We have an exciting opportunity to join our Controls Department as we are actively recruiting for a Controls Integration Specialist. This position reports to the Controls Integration Supervisor.

  •  PLC Programming:
    • Design, develop and integrate PLC/HMI applications in Rockwell or Siemens software environments
    • Integrate advanced devices (vision, drives, nut runners, printers, etc)
    • Configure safety devices and safety plc logic according to industry standards
  • Robot Programming:
    • Commission and program robots across various brands (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, Yaskawa, Nachi)
    • Set up and development of robotic processes (Spot Weld, GMAW, MH, Dispense)
    • Configure safety parameters and safety IO using robot safety software
  • Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols (Ethernet, Profinet, etc)
  • Develop logic and process solutions for custom applications
  • Collaborate with build teams, removing integration roadblocks and adhering to timelines
  • Participate in machine tryouts before shipping and after installation
  • Contribute to team building through knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • College diploma or University degree related to Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Programming, Mechatronics
  • Experience and specialized skills will yield a higher starting wage
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong focus on customer values
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada AND travel to the USA
  • Flexible to travel to customer sites
  • Able to work overtime to accommodate project timelines
