Product Manager - Pensions
Quick Summary
Own and drive the Pension product roadmap from concept to delivery with a clear view on what will move the needle for customers and the business.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own and drive our Pension proposition.
You will lead our newly launched Pension proposition and work within a cross-functional pod spanning engineering, design, ops, and compliance. You will be accountable for the end-to-end Pension product: from shaping the roadmap to driving delivery and iterating on outcomes.
We are not looking for someone who waits to be told what to do. We want someone who brings energy, opinions, and urgency, who can identify what matters most, make a call, and take people with them.

What started in 2017 as an automated way to save has evolved into a fast-growing wealth platform helping over 500,000 people build and manage more than £5 billion of their money. Today, Chip brings together high-interest savings, investing, and pensions into one seamless experience, designed for real life, not spreadsheets.
We believe wealth shouldn’t be complicated, intimidating, or reserved for the few. So we’re rethinking how people engage with their money. Combining powerful technology with thoughtful design to make long-term financial growth feel effortless, intuitive, and even rewarding. Whether it’s setting money aside, investing for the future, or consolidating a pension, Chip is becoming the place people trust to take control of their financial lives.
And we’re just getting started. As we expand deeper into investments and pensions, we’re building a product that doesn’t just manage money, it actively works for our customers.
The most important thing is mindset. We want someone with drive, conviction, and a positive, problem-solving attitude. The rest is context.
Mindset and approach
A natural driver: proactive, self-starting, and energised by ownership rather than daunted by it.
Opinionated about product: you form views based on evidence, communicate them with confidence, and back them up when challenged.
A problem-solver who leans in: when given a problem, you can break it down, frame options, and recommend a path forward.
Positive and resilient: you bring constructive energy to ambiguous and challenging situations, and you make the people around you better.
Decisive under uncertainty: you are comfortable making calls without perfect information and own the outcomes.
Product skills
Product management experience, ideally in a scale-up or high-growth environment.
Strong product craft: you understand customers deeply, write sharp requirements, make considered UX decisions, ship quality at pace, and know how to manage and prioritise opportunities and problems to solve in a flexible way
Data-driven: you use data to spot problems and validate solutions, and you set meaningful success metrics from day one.
Commercially minded: you keep revenue, cost, and business model implications front of mind in every product decision.
AI curious: you use AI tools actively in your day-to-day product process and see them as a genuine advantage, not a novelty.
Domain knowledge (nice to have)
Experience in fintech, with strong preference for investments, wealth management, or pension products.
Familiarity with the UK pension landscape, including SIPP products and pension transfers.
Understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to pensions (FCA-regulated products, consumer duty, etc.) is a plus, though not essential from day one.
Stakeholder and communication skills
Comfortable presenting and aligning with senior leadership, including at exec level.
Able to navigate operations, compliance, risk, legal, and commercial stakeholders without losing pace or momentum.
Clear, direct communicator — written and verbal — who can adapt their style to different audiences.
