The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment across entry-level through manager-level positions, supporting multiple departments and locations. The specialist will partner closely with hiring managers to develop creative sourcing strategies, evaluate candidate fit, and ensure compliance with company policies, EEO, and affirmative action guidelines. This position is hybrid, with office days based in Sleepy Eye, MN. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for entry-level through manager-level roles, developing and executing creative, cost-effective sourcing strategies across departments such as Accounting/Finance, Supply Chain, Transportation, Marketing, Maintenance & Reliability, and Pig Production.
  • Screen applicants for qualifications and organizational fit, assess candidate competencies, provide accurate and compelling company/position information, and ensure compliance with EEO and affirmative action laws.
  • Coordinate and oversee interview logistics, pre-screening, and candidate communication, while managing offers of employment and maintaining accurate applicant data in the ATS.
  • Represent Christensen Farms at career fairs and community events, lead significant recruiting projects, and organize post-interview debriefs with hiring teams and candidates.
  • Build strong networks with schools, associations, and employment organizations; mentor recruiting team members; and partner with operations leaders to understand job functions and labor planning needs.
  • Support onboarding practices, advise field staff, and, when applicable, provide interpretation/translation for employee relations discussion, trainings, or company communications.

 

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • At least 1-2 years of recruiting experience, with a High School diploma required and an Associate's or higher degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with exposure to HRIS databases and applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn mindset.

The targeted base pay range for this role is $50,000 to $80,000 per year, with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills, and experience.
