The Manager, Finance, is a strategic finance partner to Cinch's Commercial organization, supporting one or more specific channels: Insurance, Real Estate, Utility, Financial, and DTC. This role transforms financial, sales, and customer data into clear insights that improve pricing, forecast performance, strengthen cohort and channel profitability, and accelerate profitable revenue growth.

The Manager partners across Finance, Commercial, Data & Analytics, Claims, Operations, LCM and other business functions to improve decision-making, increase speed to market, and build scalable reporting and planning capabilities. The role utilizes critical commercial finance tools and analyses, including the Salesbook (a proprietary financial modeling tool), cohort and lifetime-value reporting, pricing models, incentive and commission calculations, and executive-ready performance updates.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to Commercial leadership, providing timely analysis, constructive challenge, and recommendations that support profitable revenue growth and informed go-to-market decisions.
  • Lead financial support for the specific channels of responsibility, including channel, client, product, cohort, and segment-level profitability analysis.
  • Translate commercial activity into financial impact, identify risks and opportunities, and help business leaders prioritize actions that improve revenue quality, retention, and profitability.
  • Provide responsive ad hoc financial analysis and decision support for Finance, Commercial, and executive leadership.
  • Utilize and enhance the Salesbook and related summary reporting used to evaluate sales performance, cohort economics, lifetime value, and forecasted profitability. Develop and operationalize repeatable cohort and profitability views by segment to improve visibility into revenue quality, retention, lifetime value, and return on investment.
  • Build, maintain, and update pricing models and key financial assumptions at least quarterly, ensuring recommendations reflect current performance, market dynamics, and strategic priorities.
  • Analyze monthly revenue and in-force performance, identify trends and risks, and translate findings into actionable insights for Finance and Commercial leaders.

 

  • Support the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning, and monthly business reviews by connecting commercial activity to financial outcomes and clearly explaining variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop KPIs and scenario analyses that help leaders prioritize investments, improve execution, and measure progress against revenue and profitability goals.
  • Create accurate, concise, and executive-ready analyses and presentation materials, including Management Executive Committee and other senior leadership updates.
  • Communicate complex financial and operational information through clear conclusions, recommendations, visualizations, and decision points.

 

  • Partner with Data & Analytics and business stakeholders to strengthen data quality, reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics used to guide decisions.
  • Evaluate opportunities to simplify, automate, and integrate finance tools and reporting processes while maintaining sound financial judgment, governance, and controls.
  • Serve as a key contributor in evaluating and improving the tools used to track and forecast pricing, cohort performance, and profitability at the required level of detail.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, test scenarios, and improve productivity; validate outputs and protect confidential financial and company information in accordance with company policy.

 

  • Maintain strong documentation, review standards, and controls across models, assumptions, reports, calculations, and analyses.
  • Continuously improve finance processes, tools, templates, and service levels to increase speed, accuracy, scalability, and value to business partners.
  • Model Cinch's values through collaboration, transparent communication, accountability, continuous learning, and a solutions-focused approach that contributes to a winning culture.
  • Lead projects and support the development of others while contributing to a high-performing, inclusive, and results-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field required.
  • MBA, master's degree, or other relevant advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis, business analytics, or a related discipline; people leadership or project leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, pricing, profitability, lifetime value, ROI, and executive reporting.
  • Experience supporting sales, commercial, insurance, real estate, or other channel-based organizations strongly preferred.
  • Experience in recurring revenue, subscription, home services, insurance, warranty, or consumer services business is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience with BI and data-visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise planning and financial systems such as Oracle and Hyperion preferred.
  • Experience improving reporting processes, selecting or enhancing analytical tools, and using automation or AI to increase efficiency preferred.
  • Strategic and commercial thinking with the ability to connect financial analysis to revenue, customer, and business outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical, financial-modeling, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex information clear and actionable.
  • Sound judgment and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and recommend a course of action.
  • Strong collaboration, influence, and relationship-building capabilities in a cross-functional environment.
  • High level of accuracy, ownership, integrity, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and remain effective in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Reliable and responsive financial partnership that enables the Commercial team to move at the speed required to achieve profitable revenue growth targets.
  • Accurate, timely, and decision-useful Salesbook, pricing, cohort, profitability, incentive, commission, forecast, and performance reporting.
  • Improved visibility into channel, client, product, cohort, and segment economics, including lifetime value and profitability trends.
  • Clear, actionable insights that improve pricing, investment, forecasting, and resource-allocation decisions.
  • More scalable, automated, and integrated finance reporting, models, dashboards, and controls.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership, accountability, and contribution to a winning culture.
