Maintenance Technician

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. Journeyman card is required.

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Journeyman card is required.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and search for instruction manuals parts etc via the internet.

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to trouble shoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses.
• MUST possess a Journeyman's card in an approved trade.
• Valid Driver's License
• Basic electrical experience.
• Ability to arc weld and operate lathe and mills.
• Ability to read and understand basic assembly drawings and PLC trouble shooting.

• Must be available for overtime
