Plumber

Position: Plumber   

POSITION PURPOSE: The Plumber is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all plumbing systems within the facility. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in airport buildings. The Plumber ensures compliance with safety regulations and airport standards, contributing to a clean, safe, and functional environment for passengers, staff, and visitors.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintenance of the sewerage and plumbing systems throughout the Airport Complex.
• Inspection and maintenance of all washrooms and water storage reservoirs/tanks throughout the Airport Complex.
• Check GWI well, water pumps, Treatment plants and general water supply system inclusive of fire hydrants to ensure full functionality.
• Ensure Toolboxes are replenished, and all materials and tools accounted for
• Conduct remedial works and general maintenance of all plumbing and related plumbing facilities throughout the Airport Complex.
• Ensuring the provision of 24/7 potable water and sanitation maintenance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Plumbing certificate form GTI or GITC.
• Three to five years experience as a Plumber
• Skilled in using hand and power tools in the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVX, PEX, cast iron and copper.
• Must be able to work flexible hours
