Dry Van Freight Momentum | Scheduling Consistency | Regional Miles
Drivers looking for steady dry van freight and a schedule that remains consistent from week to week will find this regional opportunity based in Clarksville worth considering. This CDL A truck driver position is built around maintaining freight momentum while keeping scheduling organized and predictable. Established customer lanes, repeat regional routes, and coordinated dispatch planning help drivers stay productive without constantly adjusting to a different operating area each week.
Location: Clarksville, TN 37042
Weekly Pay: $1,550–$1,850
Home Time: Weekly 48-hour reset
Freight: No-touch dry van
Miles: 2,700–3,000 per week
This fleet operates through established Southeast and Midwest freight corridors where dry van freight remains active throughout the year. Drivers run regional lanes through Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Georgia, and surrounding areas, providing a good mix of mileage opportunity and route familiarity.
Dispatch works to coordinate freight in advance whenever possible. Having the next load planned helps maintain momentum between assignments and reduces unnecessary downtime. Drivers can focus on completing their routes safely while dispatch manages the flow of freight and scheduling behind the scenes.
Freight is primarily no-touch dry van with a high percentage of drop-and-hook loads. The freight setup helps limit time spent loading and unloading while keeping drivers moving between customers.
Drivers generally average 2,700 to 3,000 miles per week, depending on freight flow and operating conditions. Repeat customer freight and established regional lanes help provide consistent mileage opportunities rather than relying on unpredictable loads from week to week.
Drivers receive a full 48-hour reset every week. Scheduling is structured around providing regular home time while still allowing enough time on the road to produce strong weekly miles.
The combination of regional routes and organized scheduling makes this position a good option for drivers who want to maintain a routine instead of staying out for extended periods.
Drivers operate late-model Freightliner and International tractors with automatic transmissions. Trucks include APUs, inverter capabilities, and sleeper accommodations for time spent on the road. Preventative maintenance is completed regularly to help limit equipment-related downtime.
