As a RISE Peer Advocate, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day by:

• Helping individuals and families navigate treatment options and connect with community resources.
• Providing substance use intervention services using evidence-based practices and programs.
• Scheduling and facilitating peer-support recovery meetings and groups.
• Helping individuals develop, maintain, and self-monitor their personal Recovery Plans.
• Modeling effective coping skills and encouraging peers to learn and practice new strategies.
• Building positive relationships that encourage growth, recovery, and independence.
• Collaborating with community agencies and organizations to promote services and make appropriate referrals.
• Maintaining required documentation, statistical reports, program evaluations, and other reporting requirements for OASAS, Catholic Charities of Herkimer County, and funding sources.

Hourly Pay: $16.50–$17.50/hour

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM–7:30 PM

We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and passionate about supporting people from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience working with diverse populations.
• Valid New York State driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
