Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records and assisting with the monthly and annual financial reporting process. This position performs complex accounting activities, prepares account reconciliations, analyzes financial information, supports budgeting and audits, and helps ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.

  Prepare and post journal entries to include supporting documentation as needed

• →

  Maintain the general ledger

• →

  Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts

• →

  Analyze accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness

• →

  Support the maintenance of fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

• →

  Record prepaid expenses and amortization

• →

  Prepare recurring and non-recurring accruals

• →

  Participate in the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process including accurate reconciliation of balance sheet and income

• →

  statement accounts. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies ensuring all established deadlines are met

  Review inventory accounts for accurate transaction recording and analyze inventory adjustments

• →

  Perform bank reconciliations including the monitoring of daily cash activity

• →

  Reconcile daily merchant processing activity

• →

  Review ACH and wire transactions for accuracy

• →

  Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP

• →

  Support AP and AR functions with accounting related questions

• →

  Assist in developing and improving accounting procedures

• →

  Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts

• →

  Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required
