Part time Marketing and Sponsorship Assistant

The Marketing & Sponsorship Assistant provides support to the Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department's marketing, social media, special events, and sponsorship efforts. This position works closely with the full-time Social Media Specialist to capture photos and other content at Parks and Recreation events, assist with promotional activities, and help maintain a positive public presence for the department.

This position will also assist with identifying, contacting, and securing sponsorship opportunities for Parks and Recreation facilities, programs, events, and athletic fields. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, creative, organized, dependable, and comfortable communicating with businesses, community organizations, Parks staff, and the general public.

1. →Assist the Social Media Specialist with photography and content collection at Parks and Recreation events, programs, activities, and facilities. This duty is performed as needed.
2. →Take photographs and short videos that can be used for social media, promotional materials, and department communications. This duty is performed as needed.
3. →Assist with gathering information and content from Parks and Recreation staff for social media posts and promotional materials. This duty is performed as needed.
4. →Attend selected Parks and Recreation events to assist with photography, content creation, promotional activities, and other marketing needs. This duty is performed as needed.
5. →Assist with promoting Parks and Recreation programs, events, facilities, and activities through social media and other marketing efforts. This duty is performed as needed.
6. →Assist with identifying potential businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring Parks and Recreation facilities, athletic fields, programs, events, and other opportunities. This duty is performed as needed.
7. →Contact prospective sponsors by telephone, email, in person, or through other appropriate methods to explain available sponsorship opportunities. This duty is performed as needed.
8. →Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective sponsors. This duty is performed as needed.
9. →Assist with preparing sponsorship information, proposals, correspondence, and other materials for prospective sponsors. This duty is performed as needed.
10. →Maintain accurate records of sponsorship contacts, follow-ups, commitments, and related information. This duty is performed as needed.
11. →Assist with coordinating sponsor recognition and ensuring sponsors receive agreed-upon promotional benefits. This duty is performed as needed.
12. →Communicate with Parks and Recreation staff regarding upcoming events, programs, facility activities, and sponsorship opportunities. This duty is performed as needed.
13. →Represent the Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department in a professional and positive manner when interacting with businesses, sponsors, community organizations, event participants, and the general public. This duty is performed as needed.
14. →Operate a City vehicle when required to perform essential job functions. This duty is performed as needed.
15. →Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
