As the Marketing Coordinator for Japan, you will be responsible for driving the execution of marketing initiatives in the country. Taking direction from the Japan Director aligned to Marketing, and from the APAC Marketing Leader, you will collaborate closely with the APAC marketing team to deliver locally relevant campaigns and content that generate leads and strengthen brand visibility.
This role requires a can‑do mindset, practical B2B marketing expertise in Japan, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies. You will adapt global marketing assets to the Japanese market, craft Japanese‑language content, and leverage digital and offline channels to engage key stakeholders. You will also manage events, work with media, and support a wide range of typical marketing activities.
Work with global teams to gather assets, align with local leadership on what should be localised, manage localisation and approvals, and deploy to market.
Create Japan‑specific assets and build a library of materials to support marketing initiatives.
Develop and lead project management plans for campaigns, ensuring clarity on stakeholder involvement, budget management, and efficient use of time.
Ensure quality and consistency across all marketing assets, collaborating with internal and external design teams.
Ensure CRM data accuracy, lead routing, and reporting.
Monitor and distribute incoming enquiries from the Japan mailbox, website forms, and phone.
With support from the APAC Digital Marketing Lead, execute digital campaigns as part of broader marketing plans.
Manage marketing automation and CRM systems (Microsoft D365, Eloqua or equivalent), including campaign setup, testing, deployment, and performance tracking.
Track campaign metrics and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
Lead planning and execution of in‑person and virtual events (industry conferences, webinars, client roundtables, etc.).
Liaise with event partners to deliver high‑quality, on‑brand experiences within budget.
Align event themes with business priorities to maximise relevance and ROI.
Manage pre‑event promotion and post‑event follow‑up, including CRM updates and reporting.
Partner with consulting and sales teams to support go‑to‑market efforts.
Manage multiple stakeholders and priorities across business units and functions.
Socialise marketing best practices with internal stakeholders.
Liaise with external agencies and vendors to ensure high‑quality delivery and adherence to brand standards.
You bring clear thinking, a curious mindset, and the ability to work effectively in busy environment. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders, solving problems, and contributing to meaningful outcomes.
7–9 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
Experience working across a spectrum of marketing activities, from content creation to events and digital execution.
Exposure to high‑hazard sectors is a plus, but not essential if you can learn quickly and adapt.
Hands‑on experience with CRM systems (Dynamics 365), marketing automation platforms (Eloqua), and design/video tools (e.g., Canva, Lumen5) is desired.
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and basic Excel.
Ability to manage multiple marketing and communications activities without becoming overwhelmed; strong time management and communication skills.
Organised, detail‑oriented, and proactive in solving problems.
Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
Comfortable working in multicultural, cross‑functional environments and managing competing priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Fluency in Japanese (native‑level) and English.
Willingness to travel domestically and within APAC as required.
